We went as a family today. The girl was very nice, however, I asked for a gluten-free and lactose-free cake that was on offer at the counter. She sold me a Kinder Bueno cake, and just tasting it, I could tell it had milk in it. I checked the label and indeed, the first ingredient was milk, and it also had butter. It didn't say lactose-free at all; it did say it was gluten-free, but not lactose-free. So I went to tell her, and she said no, it was lactose-free. I ended up taking three lactase tablets and didn't finish the cake, so I told her at the end. She showed me the carrot cake, which was gluten-free and lactose-free, and that one was, but the damage was already done. Now I'm experiencing gastrointestinal discomfort and I feel unwell at home. I think staff need to be better trained on this, as it can be very serious. The girl was very kind and had no bad intentions, and the review isn't because of her. I think she did what she thought was right, but it's important that they train the staff on what contains lactose and gluten so that nothing bad happens to customers, because if someone is allergic, a tragedy could occur.
